The 14th International Exhibition "Amusement rides and Entertainment Equipment RAAPA Expo-2012" was held from March 21 to 23, 2012 at Pavilion 75 of VVTs, Moscow.


The 14th International Exhibition "Amusement rides and Entertainment Equipment RAAPA Expo-2012" was held from March 21 to March 23, 2012 at Pavilion 75 of VVTs, Moscow.

The exhibition was organized by the Russian Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (RAAPA), and supported by the Moscow Government, the International Association of Amusement Parks (IAAPA), and the company TSI Ltd (the UK).

Mikhail Shvydkoi, the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation in International Cultural Cooperation Affairs Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Ambassador for special affairs, sent his greetings to the participants and guests of RAAPA Expo. The exhibition was opened by RAAPA President Vladimir Gnezdilov, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation State Duma Committee on Industry Pavel Dorokhin, deputy chairman of the Russian Federation State Duma expert committee on innovations and modernization Andrey Tvorogov, deputy director of the VNIINMASH Rosstandard institute Pavel Filippov.  

 This year, RAAPA Expo attracted 176 exhibitors from more than twenty countries of the world: Russia, Belarus, Germany, Italy, the USA, China, Great Britain, Turkey, India, the Netherlands, Switzerland and others, including more than 40 new companies.

There were represented different amusement rides and entertainment equipment for the amusement parks, entertainment centers, kiddie playgrounds and sports grounds, as well as 5D-movie theaters, laser shooting galleries, simulators and gaming machines, bumper cars and bicycles, bowling equipment; vending companies presented their products, as well.

Business contacts were established and contracts signed for the purchase and supply of the park and recreational equipment for many regions of Russia, the CIS and foreign countries.

The exhibition was visited by more than 5,000 amusement industry professionals, directors of amusement parks and family entertainment centers, mass media representatives, and other parties of concern.


The work of the exhibition was complemented by saturated business program and interesting events. The Conference "Prospects of amusement industry development in Russia" took place on March 19-20; within its frames, seminars, business trainings, and round tables on various actual issues were held. They were attended by over 270 professionals of amusement industry. 

On March 21, at the reception organized by RAAPA for the exhibitors and guests of the exhibition, the International Awarding Ceremony "Golden Pony Moscow-2012" took place, in order to honor the achievements in the amusement industry.
